Daisy Love

Back in April, I fell in love with a pink daisy at the garden center.

Oooo, so sweet, those white tipped soft pink petals.

Watch out!

Incoming....

A yellow little bird - that is nuts about Daisy's seeds.

Soft pink petals flying everywhere.

Hmpf!

Note to bird lovers: I really don't mind the total destruction of this flower, it made me laugh the way this bird was going at it.

I truly enjoy birds feeding in my garden. I was just not aware of the Gerbera Daisy being attractive to birds for its seeds.

A snack for the birds

Now that the ground is covered with a layer of snow,
I thought I'd put some food out for my winged friends.

An apple on a cinnamon stick, my thought was that
the bird could sit on the stick while it eats.

Cranberry and pop corn on a string that my oldest son made.

It might take some time before the birds discover the new food source,
but when they do, I hope they like it.
