Tree Trunk

This is the trunk of a tree by the North Bridge in Concord, Massachusetts. I find it very majestic. So grand, with it's thick branches and a root system that looks like it has a life of it's own. Fascinating. I have no idea how old this tree is, but judging by its circumference, I'm guessing it was a witness to the battle at North Bridge in the Revolutionary War.
