Today I got in the car and drove to Boylston (MA) where Tower Hill Botanic Garden is. I've known about this garden for quite some time, and it's just a 25 minute drive, but for some reason I haven't made it until today. Unfortunately, some areas were closed off as major landscape construction was going on, so I had to settle for just a part of the garden.
A key sculpture that I really liked. Behind it you see part of a big daffodil field. This coming weekend Tower Hill is hosting a daffodil show. Too bad most of the flowers are past their prime. A number of record warmth days kicked off the spring a bit early this year.
Here's a part of the garden with the Orangery and its glass roof in the background.
Conifers are great, aren't they? I really enjoyed this section.
Lately I've been very attracted to various kinds of sculptures.
Cant decide if I like this pergola or not.
I have a suspicion that this place will be spectacular in a couple of months and that I have to come back for another visit. Perhaps the pergola will look completely different then?
