Hydrangea before vacation
Hydrangea after vacation
I think perhaps the guys who put on a new roof had something to do with this.
Oh well, she'll come back again next year.
Other vacation casualties:
a few potted plants
an annual bed with zinnias and marigolds
Not too bad considering that I didn't arrange for anyone to care for my plants for the second half of my vacation when my husband joined us in Sweden.
The lawn also took a big hit, but that's not even my area.
Strangely enough, lawns are often considered to belong to the man in the house. I believe that it might have to do with the fact that a big power tool is involved in its maintenance.
