This morning I spotted a black squirrel hopping through the brush in my backyard. Very beautiful, but I've never seen one before so I had to look it up. Supposedly, it's the common gray squirrel with a genetic mutation.
Unfortunately, I don't have a picture to show you. I was too fascinated to get my camera. But my camera is now lying by the kitchen window, ready to snap a picture should the squirrel decide to come back.
Maybe I will have baby black squirrels living in my garden this spring?
