Well, that's what I've been thinking every time I drive by this house in my town.
And I've been thinking that they must know more about this old Maple than I do. Perhaps there was reason to believe that the tree wasn't a threat to the house and didn't need to be cut down.
Well, I took the above picture on Wednesday last week...
Amazingly though (and thankfully), the house didn't suffer any major structural damage.
I'm a curious person and I can't help but to wonder what the reasons were for keeping this big maple leaning dangerously towards the house?
Are they risk takers, ignorant, or procrastinators?
Were there economical reasons (It's quite pricy to hire help to cut down a big tree)?
Had they correctly calculated how exactly the tree would fall, or were they simply just too attached to the big old maple?
Well, the house is in my town so maybe one day I'll find out the reason and my curiosity will be put to rest.
